As part of the interior and architectural design for the Victorian Racing Club headquarters, a comprehensive suite of environmental graphics was created to immerse staff and visitors in the rich history of the iconic “Newmarket Stakes.” Positioned at the end of the legendary race track straight, the office’s location directly inspired the visual narrative. The main feature—a striking installation along the building’s central spine—chronicles all 25 past winners of the Newmarket Stakes, weaving individual race stories and vibrant imagery through the heart of the workspace. This dynamic graphic treatment continued throughout the space, with privacy screens and full-height door graphics transforming everyday office functions into engaging touchpoints that celebrate racing tradition and achievement.Beyond storytelling, the scope encompassed concept development, technical documentation, finished art, supplier coordination, and on-site installation management—from reception signage to statutory and wayfinding applications. Each office door was uniquely adorned to honour a past winner, bringing colour, personality, and a strong sense of place to the workplace. The project demonstrates a seamless integration of branded environment, narrative design, and architectural sensitivity, enriching the daily experience while visually rooting the headquarters in the storied world of thoroughbred racing.
